About Blue Ventures

We rebuild tropical fisheries with coastal communities.

Blue Ventures develops transformative approaches for catalysing and sustaining locally led marine conservation.

We offer volunteers from around the world a unique opportunity to contribute to our efforts supporting coastal communities to conserve these spectacular ecosystems.

From coral reef surveys to environmental education, expedition volunteers are immersed in the full breadth of our innovative and integrated programmes.

We work in places where the ocean is vital to local cultures and economies, and are committed to protecting marine biodiversity in ways that benefit coastal people.

“Challenging, exciting, rewarding… An expedition with Blue Ventures will change your life!”

Our 2020 vision

By demonstrating that effective marine conservation is in everyone’s interest, we’re striving for impact at scale. We aim to reach at least three million people across the world’s tropical coastal regions by 2020

Our Impact

The grassroots movement inspired by our model of working has led to unprecedented national level support for marine conservation in Madagascar, with the President recently committing to triple the coverage of the country’s marine protected areas, with a special emphasis on local governance. Be part of it!
