Fresh Tracks is more than just a cookery school…
Fresh Tracks Chalet Hosting & Cookery School was originally set up by Steve and Becky, who now run it every year with Ben. The three of us are all long-term chalet hosts, and we really enjoy having the opportunity to bring our experience, knowledge and skills together, to help others to get involved in the lifestyle that we love!
Between us, we have worked as chalet host couples, ran chalets on our own, flexi-hosted, and all been guests in chalets! There’s no-one better placed to be course tutors, here at Fresh Tracks.
Chalet hosting is about so much more than just cooking, so it makes sense that as a chalet hosting school, we teach you more than just how to cook…and it all takes place near a beach in Cornwall!
So What is Chalet Hosting?
Chalet hosting is a juggling act: one minute you’re cooking up a three-course meal, the next you’re scrubbing toilets, and then before you know it, you’re hosting a dinner party in your freshly cleaned chalet. You’ll be responsible for linen ordering, stock management, sauna or hot tub maintenance, customer service and much more.
In short, a chalet host is responsible for everything involved in providing a fantastic experience for your guests.
Add into this the hours of ski time you get each day, and you’ll find that working a ski season as a chalet host is likely to be one of the most rewarding and challenging things that you’ll ever do…
