Lattitude Global Volunteering provides longer term, quality supported placements for 17-25 year olds around the world. New Zealand is one of the many countries where we have local staff on the ground to ensure volunteers have a smooth transition into their placements. Volunteers are given extensive orientation activities, and support is on hand to help with any issues that may arise throughout their time abroad.
Choose between assisting in outdoor activity centres and helping teach in local boarding schools; either way you will develop worthwhile work experience and have the opportunity to explore the many amazing sites New Zealand has to offer!
Volunteers go through extensive, initial interviews to help choose the right placement for them; ensuring they have the ability and aptitude to cope with the challenges ahead.
As an international youth development charity, Lattitude Global Volunteering encourages young adults to make their own choices and take responsibility for organising themselves (with a little guidance from us) and making the most of the opportunities on offer: A placement through Lattitude really is what you make it!
Most return volunteers feel it is a life changing experience; they become confident, independent, responsible individuals, aware of the world around them and the impact they can have on it.
